The General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Works, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah during a meeting with Kenyan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Amb. Peter Ogego said that the KSrelief will also provide urgent food and medical assistance to Kenyans facing starvation.
In 2018 KSRelief distributed over 1200 tonnes of relief food aid to the Dadaab refugees after UN cut funding and food aid ratio for the 3 refugee camps of Ifo, Hagadera and Dagahaley.
According to Amb. Ogego, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center will continue to work with the Kenya Red cross in efforts to alleviate the suffering refugees as well as those effected by droughts in several parts of Kenya.
The Ambassador also appreciated the contribution of the Saudi Arabian government through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for philanthropic assistance to Kenya as well as acknowledged the Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reform plan and its focus on building the Kingdom’s humanitarian and volunteer program capacities in Kenya
