A conference that will bring together Kenya diaspora
community and other stake holders is set to begin on 31st March 2015.
The conference dubbed “Kenya Diaspora Easter Investment Conference” under the theme of “Development and Innovation: Opportunities for the Diaspora” has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade will be held at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club in Nairobi and will run from 21st of March to 2nd April 2015.
According to officials from the ministry of Foreign
affairs, the main agenda of the conference will be on how Kenyans in the
diaspora can invest in the country as well as debating on issues affecting
Kenyans living abroad. Issues of diaspora community participation in General
elections as well as dual citizenship will be discussed during the conference.
The conference is set to bring together various
stakeholders from the government, private sectors as well as business people
and is seen as a platform for enjoyment with Kenyans in the diaspora.
Parallel conferences are set to be held in various
Kenyan missions worldwide.
